About This Project

Materials for SAFE KIDS Campaign: Cycle Smart program, Jello in a Jar (comparing your brain without a helmet to jello in a glass jar upon impacts) promoted safe cycling and helmet use to parents, children and safety educators as well as employees of bicycle stores. The National Highway Traffic Safety Association (NHTSA) website promotes the brochure as, “A ‘cool’ brochure geared for kids ages 10 through 14 encouraging bike helmet use.”

SafeKids International (formerly National SAFEKIDS Campaign) was founded by the Johnson & Johnson Foundation®. As Art Director for hundreds of individual and kit materials (over the course of three years) duties included direct coordination with both the SVP of the Johnson & Johnson Foundation as well as the Executive Director of SafeKids.
